FAQs about rural land for sale in South Central Alabama

With rural living here, you can get your fill of all the things you want – without all the things you don’t. For example, Alabama has one of the lowest effective property tax rates in the U.S. And with the third-lowest cost of living in the nation, every dollar here stretches further. Its economy is growing and diverse, with everything from aerospace and automotive manufacturing to healthcare and tourism providing the kind of jobs that pay well -- and that stick around. And if you like college football, you’ll find plenty of new friends to talk Xs and Os with (though you’ll be expected to pick a side on Iron Bowl weekend).

It varies from property to property, like pretty much everywhere in the rural South. At Raydient Rural, for most of our communities, well and septic systems will need to be installed to access well-water and sewage. A limited number of communities have access to city-water. All of our communities, including those in Butler and Covington Counties, have electricity access. Companies are also making daily rapid advances in bringing faster internet speeds to rural communities.

Yep! The whole state has just about every topography you’d want for spending time outdoors, including mountains, foothills, prairies, marshes and beaches. All the right numbers add up in favor of nature-lovers in Alabama: Four national forests, 21 state parks, three wilderness areas, and 132,000 miles of rivers and streams. Hunters can take advantage of more than 1.3 million acres of public hunting land, and if you’re an angler, you won’t run out of great spots to choose from for both freshwater and saltwater fishing.
